Cardinals 20th in Coaches' Poll

AFCA Top 25 Poll

The North Central College football team is ranked 20th in this week's American Football Coaches Association NCAA Division III Top 25 Poll.

The Cardinals lost in overtime, 28-22, to Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday, and are now tied for first place in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin standings with IWU and Wheaton College. Wheaton is ranked 11th in this week's AFCA Poll, while Illinois Wesleyan is 23rd.

Mount Union College (Ohio) received 39 of 40 first-place votes to maintain its hold on the No. 1 spot in the poll, while the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is ranked second, receiving one first-place vote.

On Saturday, North Central will travel to Augustana College (5-3, 3-2 CCIW). Kickoff at Ericson Field is scheduled for 1 p.m. A live audio broadcast will also be carried live on 89.1-FM WONC, and live in-game statistics will be available at www.augustana.edu/x12786.xml.
