D3football.com Top 25 Poll

Nov. 2, 2009 - The North Central College football team is ranked 18th among NCAA Division III institutions this week, according to the most recent Top 25 Poll released by D3football.com.

The Cardinals lost in overtime, 28-22, to Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday, and are now tied for first place in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin standings with IWU and Wheaton College.

Mount Union College (Ohio) remains the No. 1 team in Division III, receiving 19 first-place votes, while the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is ranked second, having received six first-place votes. Wheaton is ranked 12th this week, while IWU enters the poll for the first time this season in 19th.

On Saturday, North Central will travel to Augustana College (5-3, 3-2 CCIW). Kickoff at Ericson Field is scheduled for 1 p.m. A live audio broadcast will also be carried live on 89.1-FM WONC, and live in-game statistics will be available at www.augustana.edu/x12786.xml.
