Division III Tournament Bracket

Nov. 9, 2009 - For the first time in its history, North Central College has qualified for the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championships. The NCAA announced the 62-team field Monday morning.

The Cardinals (34-4), who advanced to the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Championship Match over the weekend, will travel to Hope College in Holland, Mich., and will face off against 19th-ranked Heidelberg University (Ohio) in the opening round on Thursday.

Heidelberg (27-7) lost to sixth-ranked Ohio Northern University in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship match on Saturday. The winner of Thursday's opening-round match will take on the winner of the match between Ohio Northern (27-3) and Bluffton University (27-3).

The other side of the bracket consists of quarterfinal matches between 14th-ranked Calvin College (27-3) and 11th-ranked Wittenberg University (24-7) and between fifth-ranked Hope (30-3) and Lakeland College (23-12).

North Central's first-round match will begin at 1 p.m. Eastern time on Thursday.
