Apr. 15, 2009 - The North Central College men's golf team completed its home schedule on Wednesday, finishing second in a three-team match at Naperville Country Club.

The Cardinals' team total of 320 strokes was bettered by Aurora University, which recorded a score of 314. North Park University placed third with 368.

Aurora's Cameron Parker and North Central's Chris Kaiser tied for the low round of the day, each carding a 77, though Parker was awarded first place in a card-off. The Spartans' Shane Roland and Brandon Vicory fired identical scores of 78, and the Cardinals' Matt Pierce placed fifth with 80.

Completing North Central's scoring were Brett Miko, who was sixth with a score of 81, and Josh Brantner, who was eighth with 82.

The Cardinals travel to Springfield, Ill., on Friday and Saturday for the first two round of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Championships at The Rail Golf Course.
