WAUKEGAN, Ill. (Apr. 25, 2009) - The North Central College women's golf team closed out its 2009 spring schedule on Friday, turning in a second-place finish in the six-team Robert Morris College Spring Invitational at Bonnie Brook Golf Course.

The Cardinals, who had two of the top four individual finishers, turned in a team score of 338, which was the team's best 18-hole round of the spring. Wheaton College claimed the team title with a total of 325, with the Thunder's Casi Blanton carding a 77 to claim overall individual honors.

North Central's Mallory Carr and Alyssa Gaudio shot identical scores of 80 to tie for third place overall. The Cardinals' scoring was rounded out by Jessica Struthers, who placed 12th with 87, and Ashley Pincus, who finished 19th with 91.
