MARSHALL, Mich. (Sept. 12, 2009) - The North Central College women's golf team completed its first 36-hole event of the season on Saturday, taking fifth place in the 15-team Olivet College Fall Invitational at The Medalist Golf Club.
After firing a team score of 345 to occupy fourth place in the field after the first day, the Cardinals shot a 368 on Saturday to finish with a total of 713. Hope College (Mich.) won the event with a score of 658, while the host Comets were just one stroke behind with a 659.
Olivet's Amber Conrad earned individual medalist honors, carding a score of 151.
Alyssa Gaudio tied for ninth overall with a score of 169, while
Mallory Carr was 11th with 170.
Marisa Miko totaled a 174 to place 17th, and
Jessica Struthers was 62nd with a score of 200.
The Cardinals travel to Normal, Ill., Sept. 19-20 for the Illinois Wesleyan University Fall Classic at Ironwood Golf Course.
