The North Central College men's golf squad secured a fourth place finish at the 36-hole Cress Creek Collegiate Invitational on Monday at the Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville. Joshua Brantner led the Cardinals, finishing tied for eighth after shooting a 155 on the day.

Brantner finished the morning round with a 79 before finishing strong in the afternoon, carting a 76 in the final round for a 155. Nick Guido finished three strokes back in 13th place after shooting a two-round tally of 158. Freshman Brian Kirhofer turned in a 29th place showing after shooting a pair of 81's.

Aurora University's Brandon Vicory took top individual honors, turning in a 147 for the par 72 course to lead the Spartans to the team title. Aurora tallied a score of 614 to outdistance runner-up Elmhurst College by 16 strokes. North Central finished fourth among the 15-team field after shooting a 636.

The Cardinals return to action on Sunday, September 27, for day one of the University of Dubuque Fall Invitational held at the Eagle Ridge Resort in Galena, Ill.
