The North Central College football team remains sixth in the American Football Coaches Association's weekly NCAA Division III Top 25 Poll, which was released Monday afternoon.

The Cardinals (6-0, 3-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) remained unbeaten with a 38-7 victory over Millikin University on Saturday and received 791 points in this week's voting. The CCIW is also represented in the poll by 12th-ranked Wheaton College and 25th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University.

The defending Division III national champion, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, received 35 of 40 first-place votes and occupies the first spot in the poll, followed by the national runner-up, the University of Mount Union (Ohio), which received five first-place votes. Wesley College (Del.), the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Tex.) and the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) round out the top five. The top seven spots in the poll were unchanged from last week.

North Central celebrates its annual Homecoming this weekend, hosting Illinois Wesleyan (5-1, 2-1 CCIW) on Saturday.
