NFCA All-Region Teams

May 17, 2010-- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association released its All-Region selections with North Central College outfielder Erin Drennan earning a spot on the Great Lakes Region Third Team.

Drennan makes the squad as an at-large selection after leading the team in runs scored (41), triples (3) and stolen bases (11). The junior hit .308 (48-for-156) on the season with 12 extra base hits while defensively recording 93 putouts and six assisted putouts for a fielding percentage of .971.

North Central has now landed at least one player on the NFCA All-Region squad for 15 straight seasons, a streak spanning all the way back to 1995.

The Cardinals closed out their 2010 campaign with 32-14 overall record, earning a bid to the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament for the ninth time in school history.
