Mar. 2, 2012-- The North Central College women's track & field squad established several season best performances on Thursday and Friday at the NCC Last Chance Qualifier on the Al B. Carius Track.

Brooke Patterson set the tone for the meet on Thursday, clearing 11 feet, 1 1/2 inches in the pole vault to place third while Molly Gstalter was eighth in the pentathlon with 2,715 points.

On Friday, Ebony Stallworth placed eighth in the shot put with a season best throw of 42' 9 3/4" while the Cardinals closed out the meet with a second place showing in the 4x400-meter relay as Linnea Higgins, Krista Cota, Amanda Coglianese and Kala Bingham finished in a season best time of 3:55.11.

No team scores were kept at the meet that served as the final chance to qualify for the indoor championships.

The Cardinals close out the indoor season on Friday, Mar. 9 with day one of the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships hosted by Grinnell College (Iowa). Action begins at 8:45 a.m. on Friday inside the Bear Recreation & Athletic Center and resumes on Saturday at 9 a.m.
