Hilton Head, S.C. (Mar. 19, 2013) – The North Central College women's tennis team improved to 10-6 on the season and earned its second victory of its spring break trip after squeaking out a 5-4 victory over Graceland University on Tuesday afternoon. 

The lower portion of the lineup led the Cardinals to victory.  Rebecca Ross cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Heidi Meyer in the No. 4 singles slot, and Kassandra Bernardo beat Michelle Maqueda in the No. 5 position 6-2, 6-4.  Megan Marble picked up the third Cardinal victory in singles to earn the split in the No. 6 slot 6-0, 6-1. 

In No. 2 doubles, Reynolds Cross and Ross teamed up to beat Meyer and Sofia Jaramillo 8-6, while Marble and Bernardo both earned their second victories of the day in No. 3 doubles, defeating Paige Robino and Maqueda 8-5. 

North Central ends their spring break trip in South Carolina tomorrow when they play Edinboro University of Pennsylvania at 2:00 p.m. (ET).
