Kelly Vazquez and
Paige Candra have been honored with selections to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team for the 2014-2015 season.
To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have maintained a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50. In all, 758 golfers were selected among the three divisions of the NCAA, and Koenig, Vazquez and Candra were among 100 honorees from NCAA Division III institutions.

Paige CandraKoenig, an accounting major, is an All-American Scholar recipient for the second straight season. She averaged 87.2 strokes per 18-hole round this season, the second-best score on the team, and led the Cardinals with a second-place finish at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Championships in September. Also a member of North Central's track and field team, Koenig is also a three-time Academic All-CCIW selection.
Vazquez and Candra have both made the WGCA's list of honorees for the first time. Vazquez finished third on the team with a stroke average of 90.1 and placed 18th at the CCIW Championships, while Candra averaged 96.3 strokes per round and finished 28th in the CCIW.
North Central has had at least one representative on the team in each of the past seven seasons. A total of eight CCIW representatives made this year's list of honorees.
The Cardinals open the 2015 fall season on Sept. 4 at Carthage College's Tournament on the Border.
