WARRENVILLE, Ill. (Oct. 6, 2017) - The North Central College men's cross country did not let the rain affect them as they earned another win on Friday at the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational at St. James Farm in Warrenville.
The Cardinals scored a total of 24 points, with Harper College finishing in a distance second with 84 points. Third was Trinity Christian College (120) and host Benedictine University finished fourth (143). Trinity Christian freshman Sean Sanaghan won the individual title finishing the 8,000 meter (5 mile) course in 26 minutes, 10.6 seconds.

Mikey Cobb was the Cardinals top finisher, getting second place with a time of 26:14.2. North Central's next four scorers were not far behind, with freshman
Alex Makrounis in fourth (26:22.4), juniors Nebil Mohammed and
Michael Anderson in fifth (26:24.9) and sixth (26:26.6), respectively. Rounding out the scoring for North Central was Zack Michael crossing the line in 26:29.7, good for seventh place.
North Central is back in action on Oct. 14, when they travel to Elsah, Ill. to run in the Principia College Cowbell Classic.
