The Huddle is North Central College’s annual fall term celebration, bringing together all Cardinal student-athletes, athletics staff members and faculty mentors. Included is an inspirational welcome from someone related to North Central College’s athletics program and opportunity for the Athletic Mentorship Program members to directly address the student-athletes.
The 2014 Huddle will be held on Thursday, September 18, at noon in Merner Fieldhouse
The 2014 Huddle marked the tenth year in which student-athletes gather together to celebrate the beginning of another athletic year. President Troy Hammond offered inspirational messages to all the student-athletes and coaches present. A video montage of all the sports teams was shown, as well as the student-athletes and their coaches processed in with applause from the audience. Derek Nelson and Lina Baker, mentors in the Athletic Mentorship Program, provided everyone with the messages behind the clock on the back of everyone's shirts. Go Cardinals!
