Williams tabbed CCIW Player of the Week for the second time in 2007-08

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Feb. 11, 2008) - Barb Williams from North Central College was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Basketball Player of the Week today for her performance last week.

Williams, a senior forward from Skokie, Ill., and Niles West High School, scored 28 points and 10 rebounds in the Cardinals' 65-55 win over Carthage on Feb. 9 - marking Williams' fourth double-double of the season. Williams also racked up 13 points against Elmhurst College (Ill.) on Feb. 5. 

For the week, Williams totaled 15 rebounds, a pair of steals, an assist and a block in 54 minutes of play. Leading the Cardinals in points per game (14.2) and rebounds (6.7), she stands fifth in the CCIW in scoring (14) and field goal percentage (.568) and ninth in rebounding (5.3).

Today's announcement marks the second time this season Williams has received CCIW player of the week honors.
