Nov. 23, 2009 - North Central College women's basketball player Jackie Errico has been named the first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Player of the Week for the 2009-2010 season.

Errico earned the distinction, the first of her career, on the strength of her performance in last weekend's Holiday Inn Express Tip-Off Tournament. She averaged 18.5 points, seven rebounds and 2.5 steals  in the two games to earn All-Tournament honors.

Errico scored 16 points, pulled down seven rebounds and had four steals in a 70-68 win over Blackburn College (Ill.) in the opening round on Friday. She then turned in 21 points and seven rebounds in a 95-71 loss to Simpson College (Iowa) in the championship game on Saturday. Errico shot 50 percent (five-of-10) from three-point range and was the only Cardinal to score in double figures in both games.
