Jenny Swanson was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday after helping the Cardinals to a pair of wins.
The sophomore averaged 13 points per game and shot 63.6 percent from three-point range as the Cardinals finished the week with a 2-0 mark.
Swanson poured on a career-high 20 points against Robert Morris University-Springfield on Tuesday. The sophomore canned five three-pointers in just 16 minutes of action in the team's
71-52 victory. The guard came up big four days later on the road against the University of Dubuque (Iowa), hitting a three with nine-seconds left to give the Cardinals the
49-47 victory. Swanson finished the game with six points, shooting two-for-four from the perimeter.
For the week, Swanson finished nine-for-16 from the floor (56.3 percent) and 63.6 percent from three-point range (seven-for-11) while grabbing four rebounds, dishing out one assist and committing no turnovers.
The Cardinals (3-2) look to extend their win streak to three on Friday, traveling to California to take on the University of the Redlands with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m. (Pacific Time).
