North Central College women's golfer Alyssa Gaudio has been honored with a selection to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team for the 2009-2010 season.

To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have maintained a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 and competed in at least 67 percent of the team's scheduled rounds during the year. In all, 494 golfers were selected among the three divisions of the NCAA, and Gaudio was one of 57 recipients from Division III institutions.

Gaudio, an exercise science major, led North Central with a stroke average of 83.3last season.She finished first at the University of St. Francis Invitational, Illinois College Invitational and Robert Morris University Spring Invitational and sank the first hole-in-one in program history at the DePauw University Small College Classic. She placed fifth at CCIW Championships to earn All-CCIW honors for the third straight year and was an Academic All-CCIW selection as well.

North Central opens the 2010 fall season Sept. 1, traveling to Inwood Golf Course in Joliet, Ill., to participate in the University of St. Francis Fall Invitational.
