Nov. 26, 2012 - North Central College's Landon Gamble has been honored as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 19-25.

Gamble earned the distinction on the strength of his efforts in two North Central victories last week. He helped lead the Cardinals to a 84-77 victory over Aurora University on Tuesday, putting up 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists. On Saturday, Gamble  turned in a game-high 25 points, five rebounds and three assists in a 93-83 win over Carroll University (Wis.), making 11 of 13 shots from the floor.

A two-time All-CCIW and All-Midwest Region selection, Gamble is averaging 13.3 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 61.1 percent from the floor for the sixth-ranked Cardinals, who are 4-0 for the first time since the 2007-2008 campaign.

North Central hits the road for the first time this season on Saturday, traveling to face Trine University (Ind.) at 1 p.m. Eastern time.
