Day One Results

Elizabeth Composto cleared a personal-best 12'7.5” in the pole vault to finish in a tie for fourth place at the 2013 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships held at North Central's Al B. Carius Track on Friday afternoon.
“It feels fantastic,” said Composto. “There's nothing better than getting a PR (personal record) in a big meet like this.”
Composto finished eighth at last season's indoor championships and joins Megan Rossi and Rachel Secrest as the only athletes in program history to win multiple All-American certificates in the pole vault.
“You always want more in this sport, but I have definitely been improving since last season, and that's what it's about,” Composto added.
Jocelyn Redlinski was the Cardinals other competitor on day one, and turned in a 14
th place finish in the pentathlon after scoring 3,225 points.
Redlinski sprinted to a second place showing in the 60-meter hurdles (9.12). She then cleared 5'1.75” in the high jump, and sat in third place with 1,586 points after two events.
In the third event, the shot put, Redlinski launched a season-best 30'11.75”, and followed that with a 16'7” leap in the long jump. She closed the day with a 14
th place finish in the 800-meter run (2:40.01).
Heading into day two of the meet, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh leads the team standings after amassing 26 points. Massachusetts Institute of Technology is in second with 15 points, while Illinois College and Ramapo College are tied for third with 12. North Central is currently in 16
th with four and a half points.

Ebony Stallworth, will compete in the shot put at 2:00 p.m. The meet begins at 11:00 a.m with the women's high jump.
