Nov. 24, 2014 – North Central College's Tess Godhardt has been honored as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, released on Tuesday.

Godhardt was named the Most Valuable Player of the Chicago Marriott Naperville Tip-Off Tournament after leading the Cardinals to a 2-0 record to start the season.  Godhardt set a new program record with 40 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field and 15-of-20 from the free throw line, while finishing with a team-high 14 rebounds in a 117-115, double overtime victory over Millsaps College on Saturday.  In the tournament opener on Friday, Godhardt tallied 14 points in the Cardinals 100-84 win over Saint Mary's College (Indiana).

North Central also set a NCAA Division III record for three-point field goal attempts (72)in the win over Millsaps, in addition to single-game school records for total field goal attempts (114), free throws made (38), free throws attempted (54), rebounds (76) and blocked shots (10).

North Central makes the short trip down the road to Benedictine University on Wednesday, Nov. 26 with tip-off at the Rice Center scheduled for 7 pm.  Links to live statistics and video are available HERE.
