Dec. 15, 2014 – North Central College's Jamie Cuny was honored by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) on Monday, earning women's basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 8-14.
 
Cuny led the Cardinals to a pair of wins last week to remain unbeaten while extending its season-opening eight-game win streak, the best start in program history.  Cuny recorded a 11-point, 12-rebound double-double in a 119-53 win at Trinity International University, as the 66-point margin of victory set a new program record.
 
Cuny followed up with a 12-point, 12-rebound and 10-block performance in a 101-97 win over Carroll University, recording the first triple-double in program history while her 10 blocks also set a new single-game record.
 
This marks North Central's second CCIW Player of the Week award as Tess Godhardt was honored for the week of Nov. 17-23.
 
North Central hits the hardwood again on Tuesday, Dec. 16, travelling to Monmouth College at 7 p.m.  Links to live video and statistics are available HERE.
