Mar. 12, 2014 – North Central College's Josh Rodig has been honored by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW), earning men's tennis Player of the Week honors for the week of Mar. 3-9.

Rodig posted a 2-0 record in the Cardinals 8-1 win over Aurora University, Mar. 8, as the senior came back from a set down to overtake Ricky Hernandez at No. 2 singles, 2-6, 6-2, 10-7.  Rodig then teamed up with Rustam Saini at No. 1 doubles to defeat Hernandez and Brian Koski, 9-8 as the duo improved to 5-1 so far this season.

This is the second Player of the Week honor for North Central this season, as teammate Connor Sass earned the distinction Feb. 5.   

North Central travels to Hilton Head Island, S.C. for its annual spring break trip, squaring off against Centre College, Mar. 23 at 8:30 am to begin a stretch of four matches in four days.
