Amanda Walker as Player of the Week for her strong offensive skills the past six games.
Walker batted .579 the past week and went 11-19 overall. She tacked on eight runs, four doubles, one triple, one home run and six RBI with a slugging percentage of 1.053.
Against Beloit College on April 1, Walker went 4-7 with three runs and three RBI. She continued the strong performance against Illinois Wesleyan University on April 4, going 2-6 with one run and one RBI. Walker ended the week 5-6 against Millikin University with four runs and two RBI on April 5.
She currently leads the team in with 20 overall hits and 21 RBI. Walker is tied with
Kayla Antle in doubles at seven.
The CCIW also recognized Carthage College pitcher, Makenzie Walker, who pitched 3-0 the past week with a 0.28 ERA and struck out 13. Both women were recognized as Player of the Week.
The Cardinals are currently 19-3 (5-1 CCIW) and on a four-game winning streak. They take on Wisconsin Lutheran College on Thursday at Shanower Family Field at 3 p.m.
