2013-14 CoSIDA NCAA Division III Academic All-America Teams

June 24, 2014 – North Central College student-athlete Elizabeth Composto has been named to the 2013-2014 Capital One Academic All-America Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Team (NCAA Division III), as selected Tuesday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The CoSIDA Academic All-America program is designed to recognize student-athletes for combining academic and athletic success. In order to be eligible, nominees must have maintained a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.00 scale) in addition to their athletic credentials. The nominations are then voted upon by the CoSIDA membership.

Composto, an interactive media studies major, earned All-America honors in the pole vault at the Division III Indoor Championships for the third straight year in March and has also competed in the last three Division III Outdoor Championship meets. A five-time CCIW pole vault champion (three indoor, two outdoor), Composto ranks third in North Central history in both the indoor (12'7.50") and outdoor (13'0.75") events and is a two-time USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree.

Composto was selected to the Academic All-America Second Team, after receiving Academic All-District honors each of the last two seasons.

This marks North Central's 26th Academic All-American selected by CoSIDA, three of which have come from student-athletes participating in women's track and field.
