Kiersten Tinkoff, of the North Central College softball team, as Player of the Week for her hitting performance in recent competitions.
Tinkoff went 9-15 with a .600 batting average this past week. She collected seven RBI with three runs and two doubles. Her slugging percentage holds at a solid .733.
In the Cardinals' latest competition, Tinkoff went 3-7 against Saint Mary's College (Ind.) on Saturday with two runs and two RBI.
Tinkoff is joined alongside Illinois Wesleyan's Mackenzie Marquis who was named Pitcher of the Week with a 0.36 ERA and 21 strikeouts.
North Central takes on Concordia University Chicago on Thursday at home in a doubleheader with game time scheduled for 3 p.m.
