Kevin Honn and
Jayme Moten have been honored with selections to the National Association of Basketball Coaches' (NABC) Honors Court for the 2014-2015 season in recognition of excellence in academics.
The Honors Court consists of varsity student-athletes who have maintained at least a 3.2 grade-point average after at least two years of study. More than 1,000 men's collegiate basketball players from over 350 institutions qualified for inclusion. Honn and Moten are among 440 NCAA Division III players to be so honored.
Honn and Moten are both preparing for their senior seasons at North Central. Honn, a physical education major, has played in all 51 of the Cardinals' games the past two seasons. He started seven games and ranked fourth on the team in scoring (7.9 points per game) as a junior, scoring in double figures seven times. Moten, a marketing major, ranked second on the team and fifth in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) in scoring at 15.7 points per game last season, setting a North Central single-season record for three-pointers made (82) and leading the CCIW in three-pointers per game (3.57).
Honn and Moten are among 16 CCIW representatives on the Honors Court.
The Cardinals finished the 2014-2015 season with an overall record of 18-8.
