Mar. 7, 2018 – After capturing his 50
th career win last week, North Central College's
Victor Krueger was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday, for the week of Feb. 26-Mar. 4.
Krueger went 2-0 last week for the Cardinals, as his 7-5, 6-1 win at the No. 1 position over Nolan Rademacher clinched a 5-4 match victory for North Central over Concordia University-Wisconsin on Mar. 2. Earlier in the afternoon, Krueger teamed up with
Marco Salazar at No. 2 doubles to earn an 8-4 win to put the Cardinals ahead 2-1 after doubles play, while the two victories gave the junior his 50
th career win as a Cardinal.
This marks the second career Player of the Week award for Krueger, earning the distinction on Mar. 22 of last season.
North Central (5-5) is riding a three-match win streak heading into their annual Spring Break trip, beginning with a dual against Earlham College on Friday, Mar. 16 at 3 p.m. (ET) at Sanlando Park in Orlando, Fla.
