ur trip easier, here is some important information to help plan your trip to our campus.
North Central College operates three Athletic Training Facilities for its intercollegiate athletic teams, servicing teams based on the location of their competition. The ATF in Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium currently services football, outdoor track and field, and lacrosse. Heidi M Matthews Athletic Training Facility located inside Merner Field House services all indoor sports plus baseball and softball. The Res/Rec ATF services soccer, tennis, and indoor track and field. The respective ATFs will be open approximately two hours before each competition and will remain open following each competition for thirty minutes. Our Athletic Training Faculties offer a variety of hot and cold non-electrical modalities, hydrotherapy, electrical stimulation, shortwave and ultrasound.
If your team is traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer, a written prescription or email from your institution's Certified Athletic Trainer or Team Physician will be required for all therapeutic modalities except ice and moist heat. Please contact us ahead of time if your team is traveling without a Certified Athletic Trainer so that we can plan appropriately for your team's needs.
For your convenience, water, water bottles, injury ice and biohazard supplies will be provided in your bench area and/or locker room. Please send your athletic team with a stocked athletic training/first aid kit. If you need additional supplies, please contact us.
For home football games, our Team Physician or his designee (Orthopedic Surgeon) will be in attendance. For all other contests, our Team Physician is on-call. Vacuum splints, basic airway kit, crutches and other splinting/ambulatory supplies will be available, as needed.
