Emil Ostberg '98, Zach Bukal '00, David Thompson '99 and Joel Williams '99 combined to clock a 40.78 and win the 400 relay at the 1998 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Their 10 points helped the Cardinals accumulate 91 points as a team and win the school's fourth national title in track and field and 15th overall (11 in cross country, four in track and field).
