Long Jump (24'2 1/2")

Shawn Welti '91 won the long jump at the 1988 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He leaped to a mark of 24-02.50 to win the national title. His points helped North Central take third as a team with 46 points that year.

Welti, a seven-time All-American in the long jump and as part of the 4x100 relay, helped the Cardinals to the 1989 NCAA III Outdoor Track and Field National Championship.
