North Central College Cardinals

North Central College junior men's track and field student-athlete Peyton Piron has been named one of the College's two College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference Award honorees for the 2018 spring season in recognition of outstanding performance in academics and athletics.

Piron, an actuarial science major, earned the seventh and eighth All-America awards of his collegiate career at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships this spring, placing eighth in the 400-meter hurdles and fourth in the 4-by-400-meter relay as the Cardinals placed second in the team competition. He placed second in the 400-meter hurdles, 4-by-100-meter relay and 4-by-400-meter relay at the CCIW Outdoor Championships, helping lead North Central to its 38th team championship.
