North Central College Cardinals

Kyle Exline was hired as the first head coach of the North Central College men’s volleyball program in April 2014 and as the ninth coach of the women's volleyball program in January of 2017.

In nine years as the Cardinals' head coach, Exline has a current coaching record of 139-74. Exline's 2017 squad more than doubled the win total from the inaugural season in 2016, finishing with an overall record of 17-10, while posting a 11-8 record in Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) play. In 2018, the Cardinals clinched the MCVL regular season title after going undefeated in conference play and posted an overall record of 17-8. In 2022, the Cardinals earned their first bids to the CCIW and NCAA Tournaments. The 2023 season saw North Central break the program record for win streaks (17) and wins in a single season (25-4) while advancing to the National Championship match for the first time in school history where they turned in a runner-up finish to Stevens (3-1). The Cardinals claimed their first-ever CCIW regular season and tournament titles after an undefeated 10-0 conference record, in addition to their first regional championship title and their first advancement to the NCAA Final Four and Championship match.
