Amanda Martinez

Amanda Martinez joined the men’s and women’s wrestling staffs as a graduate assistant prior to the 2021-2022 season before being named as assistant coach in the summer of 2022. She completed her collegiate career with the Cardinals as a two-time All-American, reaching the national finals and finishing as the runner-up at 130 pounds at the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championships in both 2020 and 2021. She graduated as the program’s all-time leader in career victories. In addition to her stellar career on the mat, Martinez also got the job done in the classroom as a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American.
 
Still actively competing on the senior level, Martinez represented the USA at 57kg at the 2021 U23 World Championships in Belgrade Serbia. She is a four-time USA Wrestling All-American, and is currently ranked 3rd in the United States on the Olympic ladder at 57kg after making the 2022 Senior National team. She finished top 8 at the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials and was 4th at the 2021 USA Wrestling Senior World Team Trials at 55kg.    Amanda graduated from North Central in the spring of 2021 with a degree in Management.
