Joe Heller joined the North Central College staff in 2009 as an assistant coach for the Cardinal baseball program. He acts as the team's recruiting coordinator, coordinates the team's strength and conditioning program, while primarily coaching infielders and hitter.
Heller was a four-year starter at second base for North Central from 2006-2009, finishing his career ranked eighth in school history in career runs scored (115). He batted .282 in his tenure with Cardinals with 21 doubles, eight home runs, 69 runs batted in, and 33 stolen bases. He was a First Team All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin selection in 2007.
A native of Skokie, Ill., Heller graduated from North Central with a bachelor's degree in social science in 2009. He also completed his master’s degree in Leadership studies with a sport emphasis from North Central is 2012. He currently resides in Wheaton, Ill. with his wife Alexis.
