Fanthorpe tabbed CCIW Offensive Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Oct. 15, 2007) – For the first time in his career, sophomore quarterback Aaron Fanthorpe (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North) was honored as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Football Offensive Player of the Week after his performance against Elmhurst College Oct. 13.

Fanthorpe was a threat on the ground and through the air as he helped North Central to a 41-24 victory over Elmhurst College on Saturday. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound quarterback was 18-of-28 for 169 yards and two touchdowns in addition to carrying the ball 19 times for 98 yards and another two touchdowns. Fanthorpe's scoring strikes were of seven and 39 yards, while his rushing touchdowns came on plays of one and two yards.

CCIW Players of the Week

North Central hosts Millikin University (Ill.) for Homecoming Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m.
