NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Oct. 30, 2007) - For the third time this season, senior Maggie Kelly (Riverside, Ill./Fenwick) was tabbed as one of two CCIW Volleyball Players of the Week after her performance during the previous week of competition.
Kelly helped the Cardinals go 4-1 last week and reached another milestone in the process. Already the school's all-time leader for career kills, Kelly also broke the single-season record as North Central went 4-0 and won the Benedictine Tournament. In five games last week, Kelly had 103 kills (6.06/game) and eight blocks. She had a hitting percentage of .303 and was an all-tournament selection at Benedictine. She totaled a season-high 33 kills in a win over Benedictine and had 28 in a victory over St. Norbert.
