Oct. 30, 2008 - North Central College's football team's victory at Wheaton College on Saturday has yielded individual honors from D3football.com, as this week's 'Team of the Week' featured Cardinals at a pair of positions.

The North Central offensive line, consisting of starters Zach Baldacci (Jr., Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew), Jeremy Shaub (So., Lockport, Ill./Lockport), Mike Larson (Sr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way Central), Kyle Antos (So., Warrenville, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South), and Josh Delancy (Jr., Stuart, Fla./Jensen Beach), was so honored for the second time this season, as was linebacker Matt Wenger (Jr., Davis, Ill./Dakota).

The Cardinals' offensive line paved the way for a total of 451 yards gained in the 44-21 victory over the Thunder, and did not allow a quarterback sack. North Central was limited to negative yardage on just four plays the entire game.

Wenger, meanwhile, led the Cardinals in tackles for the seventh straight game, amassing nine total stops (five solo). He also turned in 3.5 tackles for loss, including two quarterback sacks, and forced a fumble which led to the first North Central score of the evening.

The Cardinals, ranked second nationally by D3football.com and fourth by the American Football Coaches Association, will host Illinois Wesleyan University at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
