Sept. 3, 2008 - North Central College's Stephanie Ryding (Jr., Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) has been named one of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Volleyball Players of the Week for Aug. 25-31.

Ryding received the CCIW's Setter/Defensive Player of the Week Award after leading the Cardinals to a perfect 4-0 record and the team championship at Virginia Wesleyan College's Wingate INNvitational on Friday and Saturday. She played both the libero and setter positions at different times during the tournament, finishing the weekend with 76 assists, 42 digs, and 10 service aces. For her efforts, Ryding was named the Wingate INNvitational's Most Valuable Player.

The Cardinals return to action this weekend, traveling to Aurora University for the Jim Coleman Memorial Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
