Oct. 12, 2009 - North Central College volleyball player
Ryan Lally has been named one of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Players of the Week for Oct. 5-11.
Lally helped lead the Cardinals to a 3-2 record during the week, including a 3-2 victory against CCIW rival Illinois Wesleyan University, turning in 144 assists, seven service aces, four blocks and 15 kills. She put up 46 assists against IWU, and had her best all-around performance in a 3-2 loss to Wartburg on Saturday, recording 50 assists, seven kills, nine digs, and three service aces.
She leads the Cardinals in assists (681) this season, ranking third in the CCIW in assists per set (9.08).
Lally is the third North Central player to earn a Player of the Week Award from the CCIW this season.
Stephanie Ryding was so honored on Sept. 9, and
Crystal Wright received the same accolades on Sept. 29.
The Cardinals (21-3, 3-1 CCIW) travel to North Park University on Tuesday.
