For the second straight day, the North Central College women's tennis squad fell victim to a school from Michigan; falling 8-1 in a dual match to Kalamazoo College in the Cardinals second spring break game in Florida.

Christine Heyd was the Cardinals lone victory of the day, needing three sets to pull out the hard fought 7-5, 3-6, 12-10 win over the Hornets Kelsey Hassevoort in No. 3 singles action. In No. 2 singles, Alicia DeGrado extended the match to three sets before ultimately succombing to Lindsay Zuhlke, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3, while in No. 1 singles, Cory Schillerstrom fell, 6-3, 6-1, to Beau Wangtrakuldee.

In doubles, Allison Paschold and Schillerstrom played in the No. 2 doubles position for the first time all year, dropping an 8-2 decision to the Hornet tandem of Smitha Gudipati and Kari Larson.

The loss drops the Cardinals to 11-6 overall while Kalamazoo improves to 2-4, picking up its second straight win, having knocked off College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin rival Augustana College by an indentical 8-1 score a day earlier. North Central concludes its spring trip tomorrow, facing the College of Saint Catherine at 9 a.m. before returning back to Naperville.
