ELMHURST, Ill. (Oct. 13, 2010)-- 20 total shots yielded just one goal as the North Central College men's soccer squad ended up on the wrong side of a 1-0 decision Wednesday night against defending College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Champion Elmhurst College at Berens Park.

A David Griggs header goal in the 21st minute off a Matt Sterner corner kick produced what turned out to be the game winner for the host Bluejays (7-7-0, 1-3 CCIW), who finished the match outshooting the Cardinals (4-6-3, 0-2-1 CCIW) by a 17-3 count.

Cardinal goalkeeper Phillip Klipp made four saves on the night while his counterpart Sebastian Domczewski logged two saves for the shutout, including turning away a Paul Box header in the final 49 seconds of the contest.

North Central returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 16, hosting Wheaton College inside the friendly confines of Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m.
