Oct. 5, 2010-- North Central College's #T.J. Simmons# was selected by the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin as the Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.
The forward earns the award after scoring two goals and notching one assist during the Cardinals' two games last week. Simmons scored the game tying goal against Moody Bible Institute on Wednesday, finding the back of the net on a header off an

Four days later against Millikin, the sophomore tallied a goal and an assist, helping the Cardinals rally to tie the visiting Big Blue 3-3 in double overtime. Simmons tied the game at one apiece with a header goal off a

Tyler Lundquist's equalizing goal in the 89th minute to force overtime.
Simmons currently leads the conference in both points and goals, recording 13 points on the season and six goals.
The Cardinals (4-4-3, 0-0-1 CCIW) return to action on Saturday, Oct. 9, traveling to Bloomington, Ill. to face Illinois Wesleyan University. Kickoff at Neis Field is slated for 5:30 p.m.
