LISLE, Ill. (Nov. 1, 2010) - The North Central College volleyball team broke even at the Benedictine University Invitational on Friday and Saturday, collecting two wins in four matches, including a sweep of the tournament host.

The Cardinals lost a 3-2 nailbiter to Trinity International University (Ill.) in their first match on Friday before taking down Benedictine, 3-0, in Friday's final match. North Central opened play Saturday with a 3-0 sweep of Purdue University-Calumet (Ind.), and closed the weekend with a 3-0 loss to William Penn University (Iowa).

Cardinal setter Ryan Lally finished the weekend with 132 assists, 21 digs and four service aces and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Crystal Wright finished with a team-high 32 kills, including 17 against Trinity International, along with 34 digs. Joelle Lusson led North Central with 40 digs and Shanna Loos finished with a team-high 14 total blocks.

North Central travels to Elmhurst College for the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Tournament Play-In Match on Tuesday. Play at R.A. Faganel Hall is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
