ELMHURST, Ill. (Nov. 3, 2010) - The 2010 season came to a close for the North Central College volleyball team on Tuesday, as the Cardinals were defeated, 3-0, at Elmhurst College in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Tournament Play-In Match.

Elmhurst (24-12) led most of the way through the first two sets, winning, 25-18 and 25-22. North Central came within a couple of key plays of extending the match but lost the fourth set, 30-28.

Crystal Wright finished with a team-high 18 kills for the Cardinals (14-21), while Ryan Lally totaled 41 assists. Joelle Lusson led North Central with 21 digs and Amber Ladwig contributed four total blocks.

The CCIW Tournament begins at Millikin University on Friday. Elmhurst will take on Carthage College and Millikin will face Wheaton College in the semifinals.
