WHEATON, Ill. (Oct. 15, 2011)-- For the second time in their last three games, the North Central College men's soccer team has to settle with a tie, as the Cardinals (9-3-2) ended the 2 overtime contest against conference foe Wheaton College deadlocked, 1-1, on Saturday night at Joe Bean Stadium.

The Cardinals struck first as Kevin Okamoto chipped home a rebound in the 24th minute to give North Central a 1-0 lead.  Less than 20 minutes later, Wheaton would answer with a goal of their own as Dan Paviak headed home a corner kick by Ryan Kammer to even the score 1-1.  This would be all the scoring on the night as neither team was able to capitalize on chances in the second half.

Goalkeeper Phillip Klipp finished the contest with 10 saves while opposing net minder Ryan Seager logged 7 saves on the night for the Thunder (7-6-2).

North Central returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 22 as they travel to Kenosha, Wis. to take on CCIW opponent Carthage College at 2:30 p.m.
