KENOSHA, Wis. (Oct. 22, 2011)-- Three unanswered goals put North Central College on the wrong end of a 4-1 decision on Saturday at Art Keller Field, stumbling to host Carthage College in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin men's soccer game.

The Red Men (10-5-2, 3-1-1 CCIW) drew first blood as Mike Heika scored an unassisted goal in the 17th minute of play. Host Carthage's advantage proved fleeting as Jake Muszczynski tallied the equalizer six minutes later, scoring his team-leading eighth goal of the season off a feed from Michael Lenzi. The Red Men reclaimed the lead in the 37th minute with Billy Hamilton finding Taylor Pignataro before an unassisted goal by Zak Khoshbin just a minute later bumped the Red Men edge to 3-1.

The Cardinals (9-4-2, 1-2-2 CCIW) were reduced to 10-men in the 55th minute after a red card, hampering their comeback bid while Carthage's Pignataro tallied his second score just three minutes later to cement the game.

Goalkeeper Phillip Klipp tallied six saves in 90 minutes of work for the Cardinals while Milan Tijanic and Steve Kvasnicka combined to make five stops in net for the Red Men.

North Central closes out its home schedule on Wednesday, welcoming Augustana College to Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
