Sept. 27, 2011 - The North Central College volleyball team improved to 2-1 in College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin play on Tuesday, posting a 3-1 victory at North Park University.

The Cardinals (10-7) maintained control of the match throughout, collecting the program's eighth straight victory over North Park, dating back to the 2004 season.

North Central won the opening set, 25-20, then dominated the second frame, 25-14, before a 25-18 loss in the third set. The Cardinals bounced back to claim the fourth set, 25-18.

Jenae Harner and Crystal Wright were North Central's top attackers with 11 and 10 kills, respectively, while Ryan Lally put up 35 assists. Harner shared the team lead in service aces with Sarah Eggert, who also led the team in digs (16). Kedryn Orrison led th Cardinals with four total blocks.

The Cardinals travel to the Illinois Wesleyan University Tournament on Saturday, playing the University of Wisconsin-Platteville at 10 a.m. and Culver-Stockton College (Mo.) at 12:15 p.m.
