Men's Soccer Blanked by Raiders

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (Oct. 6, 2012) – The North Central College men's soccer team was shutout at the hands of Milwaukee School of Engineering, 4-0 Saturday afternoon at Hart Park.
 
The Raiders (10-3) got on the board first as Pat Gathof found the back of the net off a pass from Jordan Werner to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
 
Later in the period, Drew Porter made room for himself in front of the goal and fired a shot past Cardinal (8-4) defense giving the Raiders a 2-0 lead heading into the intermission.
 
In the 51st minute, Logan Andryk scored on a laser from 30 yards out to increase the MSOE advantage to 3-0.  Andryk would add his tenth goal of the season later in the second period off Werner's third assist of the game, giving the Raiders the decisive 4-0 advantage.
 
North Central returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 10 playing host to College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin foe Wheaton College, ranked sixth in the latest central region rankings, at 7:30 p.m. at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
