LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Dec. 20, 2012)
—The North Central College women's basketball team was held to a season low 75 points, falling at the hands of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Thursday in the opening game of the Las Vegas Hoopla.

The Cardinals (6-4) fell behind early as UW-Oshkosh scored the games first six points and the Titans (8-2) would not surrender the lead the remainder of the contest.

The Titans opened up a double-digit lead five minutes into the contest and would lead by as many as 20 points in the opening half, as UW-Oshkosh would take a commanding 58-39 lead into the intermission.

After the Titans stretched the lead to 25 early in the second half, the Cardinals went on a 13-2 run over the next two minutes.  Jenny Swanson jumpstarted the Cardinal offense with a three-pointer followed by a Michelle Todd layup after a steal on the other end.

Kimberly Wilson sunk one from beyond the arch before Maryssa Cladis followed suit with three of her ten points on the afternoon, shrinking the Titan lead to 74-60 with just over 12 minutes left in the contest.

The UW-Oshkosh lead would be too much to overcome for the Cardinals as the Titans would go on to take a 95-75 victory.

Emily Murphy and Larynn Shumaker each finished with 12 points and six rebounds, while Cladis chipped in ten points.

North Central is back in action tomorrow in the second game of the Las Vegas Hoopla, squaring off against Goucher College (Md.) at 10 a.m. (PT).
